Our Staff Spotlight for September is also our newest Include Me Program Specialist, Brianne Wolf. Previously, she was a teacher for 22 years where her passion was teaching students to read. She loved watching that “aha” moment when they successfully sounded out and read words with which they previously struggled. With her experience, she understands the difficulties teachers may face knowing how to accommodate students with disabilities in the classroom. She is looking forward to helping teachers feel more comfortable with their role in successfully including all students into their classroom.

When she is not working, Brianne loves lifting in the gym and spending time with her family and rescue kitty sisters. Her favorite food is brown rice, chicken, and veggies sauteed together. Please join us in welcoming Brianne to the team!

Join the Bureau of Early Intervention Services and Family Supports for their Inclusion and Belonging for Young Children with Disabilities in Pennsylvania training series. This series of 3 one-hour webinars centers on how the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) supports the inclusion and belonging of children with disabilities from birth to school age in the early childhood settings selected by their families.

September 18, 1 to 2 pm: Supporting the Physical and Instructional Environment for Young Children
October 16, 1 to 2 pm: Inclusive Engagement and Joyful Learning Across Developmental Domains
November 13, 1 to 2 pm: Co-Constructing an IFSP/IEP with Families

Registration is now open for ODP’s virtual Pennsylvania Autism Training Conference (PATC) on September 30 and October 1, 2025. This conference will provide professionals working directly with individuals with autism with tools, strategies, and resources to help provide the most effective support. This year’s theme is Beyond Inclusion: Thriving in the Community, with a focus shifting from "fitting in" to building inclusive communities from the ground up.
