Carrots have a number of healthy benefits and are even linked to improving vision!

More than 25 years ago, scientists with USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS) began a quest to breed carrots packed with beta-caroteneβ€”an orange pigment used by the body to create vitamin A. Thanks largely to ARS, today carrots provide 75% more beta-carotene and are a vitamin A powerhouse.

Let your kids have foods they like too! Making your kids' favorites, once in a while, builds trust and shows them you know what they like. For instance, cook up some mac and cheese or do pizza night with a side of πŸ₯πŸπŸ₯•πŸ₯¦, of course! And - remember - the rule to try all foods should still stick!

Take the fam for a walk, πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ, πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ, πŸ’ƒπŸ½, hike, you name it. 15 minutes of fresh air will do wonders for you at work. Amanda Frankeny found a yoga studio while in the airport. Amanda Frankeny taught kiddos to taste the 🌈! Everyone made their vegetables into a funny face or fav superhero. She saw lots of Spider-Man, even an πŸ™! πŸ₯¦ was used for a ponytail & its blossoms for freckles. Five moms told her their child tried a new food.

Let your kids have foods they love too! Making your kids a meal they truly enjoy, once in a while, shows them you do know what they want. For instance, try macaroni and cheese as their starch or having pizza night (with a veggie topping, of course)!

Tip #3: Eat food that requires a little effort! When you can, try a meal or snack that takes a little extra - such as block cheese, shrimp, shelled nuts, or an orange.

That little bit of work to shred or slice the cheese, break the shell, or peel the fruit will give you some variety and help you become more attentive to what you're eating!
