We provide patient education, full preoperative evaluation of each patient's mental and physical health, coordination of care, assistance with insurance issues, and post-operative support groups in order to help ensure the safety and success of our patients. Weight loss surgery is not cosmetic surgery, nor does it actually "remove" a patient's excess weight. It is a TOOL that assists in weight loss and weight maintenance for patients who are 100 or more pounds overweight and who have failed weight loss through traditional dietary and behavior modifications. "I started 2025 weighing 320 lbs, absolutely miserable and knew I needed a change! I started my liquid diet January 13th and never looked back. I did the liquid diet for two weeks and knew after conquering it that anything was possible. Surgery went great, recovery went well, I was sore for about 6 weeks but nothing Tylenol didn’t take care of. I continued to follow the binder and do my lab work and push forward. Before my 6 month checkup I was down 100lbs. I am almost down 140lbs in 10 months. I have never felt better! I lost my one and only child in 2018 and never thought I could ever feel human again but this has given me the opportunity to make changes in my mental and physical health and I am forever thankful for Dr Hoehn and his team for that! It’s definitely a lifestyle change and the surgery isn’t the fix all, it’s a tool and one that can be great if you want to put in the work to feel so much better!!!!"
