Huge shout-out to our Mentor Team for sleighing the 12 Days of Christmas Mentor Challenge and taking the win against our sister communities! 🎄🏆

From hosting a staff angel tree, volunteering at a food bank, and donating food, to spreading cheer with kindness candy canes, a hot chocolate bar, a bake sale, heartfelt cards for managers, silly hats and socks, and even caroling—this team showed what the true spirit of the season is all about.

You didn’t just compete… you gave back, lifted others up, and spread joy every step of the way. We’re so proud of you and grateful for the kindness you bring to our community. 💚

Today we celebrated our very own “Director of Pawsitivity”, Macy, as she turned 7 years old! 🎂🐾

Macy is the beloved pup of our Marketing Director, Clay, and she comes to work with him every day. She is spreading love and joy one way at a time. From residents to staff to visitors, Macy is adored by all and never fails to put a smile on everyone’s face just by being her sweet, lovable self.

We are so lucky to have such a special girl brightening our days. Happy birthday Macy!

🌟 Exciting Day in Topeka! 🌟

Today, our dedicated marketer and AIT, Clay, spent a productive day at the Kansas State Capitol, engaging with fellow healthcare professionals and advocating on behalf of our senior living communities.

Clay had the opportunity to meet with Lenexa's own representatives, including Representative Susan Ruiz and Senator Dinah Sykes. Together, they discussed the significant challenges and pressing needs that our senior living communities face. It’s crucial that we continue to raise awareness and support for these vital services.

💔✨ Farewell, Mary! ✨💔

A few weeks ago, we bid a heartfelt goodbye to our wonderful resident, Mary. Since she joined us in June 2025, she and her family have truly become part of our Westchester family. Mary’s warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit brought so much joy to everyone around her, from residents to staff.

As she prepares to return home after completing six months of therapy at Ability KC, our hearts are filled with mixed emotions. We are saddened to see her go, but simultaneously thrilled for her new journey ahead. Mary, you’ve inspired us all with your strength and resilience, and we know you will continue to shine brightly wherever life takes you.

To celebrate her time with us, we held a special Green Carpet Farewell that was filled with laughter, hugs, and memories to cherish. It was a beautiful send-off, but let’s be honest – not a dry eye in the place! 💧

Thank you, Mary, for filling our lives with love and light. We will miss you dearly, but you will always have a special place in our hearts. Wishing you all the best as you embark on this new chapter. Come back and visit us soon! 💖
