Kids don't always have words for the hard things. That's the whole point of play therapy.

For children, play is their first language. A skilled therapist can meet them right there, helping them work through anxiety, grief, trauma, big transitions, and more.

We're building two dedicated play therapy rooms and a sand tray space in our new building—spaces designed from the ground up for this kind of care. Come see what's taking shape.

Our prayer for this space.

The new Westside Family Care Center building is taking shape — and we wanted to bring you along for a look. In this video, members of our WFC leadership team walk through the space and share what's coming as we get closer to opening.

We're incredibly grateful for the community that's making this possible. This building represents something we believe in deeply — that no one should have to navigate life's hardest moments alone.

It may simply need support.

Research shows that repair, appreciation, and emotional regulation can change the trajectory of a relationship — especially when addressed early.

We shared five signs your relationship might need help — and what to do next.

Read it. Reflect together. Start the conversation.

Recently, our counseling team stepped inside the new Care Center building together for the very first time—hard hats, concrete floors, and all.

What stood out wasn’t just the walls going up, but the sense of purpose that filled the space. This building represents more than a physical growth; it’s a tangible commitment to walk with more individuals, couples, and families toward wholeness in our community.

Tension doesn’t mean a relationship is failing.
Sometimes it’s the very thing that helps us grow stronger together.

From our fight/flight/freeze/fawn responses to our attachment styles, we all bring something into moments of conflict. Tension can become an opportunity—not a threat.

Just in time for holiday gatherings, check out our Tension in Togetherness article written by licensed counselor Portia King.
