A breast cancer survivor tried my prototypes and told me this:

After her mastectomy, the only thing she could wear home was a hospital gown… because it held her drain bulbs.

She said, “If I could’ve worn something pretty instead, I would’ve felt like myself.” 🤍

That’s why I design pieces that don’t look medical — even when they’re medically mindful. Because healing is emotional, too. And dignity matters.

Even though the motorcycle accident was in 2017…
and the tracheal stenosis came in 2022…
and it’s now 2026 —

The trauma still lives in my body.

Healing doesn’t run on a timeline.
Just because time has passed doesn’t mean the nervous system has forgotten.

I’m still learning how to calm my body,
to settle my soul,
to listen with patience instead of judgment.

Don’t underestimate this: trauma can stay with you.
And tending to it — gently, intentionally — is part of the healing too. 🤍
