residents Jack and Marilyn Gregory were among the first clergy couples in the Methodist Church to unite their callings in sacred partnership. Serving side by side, their shared ministry became a living testament to the covenant of marriage and their unwavering devotion to God’s work. Their journey unfolded during a time of transformation for women in the Church—a movement that continues today.

Lakeview Village in Lenexa is proud to announce it has been recognized by US News & World Report as a 2025 Best CCRC, Best Assisted Living, Best Short Stay Rehabilitation and Best Long Term Care.

Lakeview Village has also received the High Performing recognition for Food and Dining, Activities and Enrichment, Management and Staff and Feels Like Home for Independent Living. It also received High Performing recognition for Caregiving, Activities and Enrichment and Feels Like Home for Assisted Living.

US News and World Report evaluated over 3,800 communities in the United States. Communities are evaluated on several criteria, including resident and family members’ satisfaction with safety, care, community management and staff, value and other services and amenities. State surveys are evaluated for Short Stay Rehabilitation and Long Term Care.

This prestigious recognition is a testament to Lakeview Village’s commitment to serving seniors as well as fulfilling a mission to be the best place to live, work and grow

Many people return to a childhood passion when they retire by taking painting lessons or sewing classes, that sort of thing. For Lakeview Village resident Beth Moffitt, who isn’t even retired yet, there had been an extremely heavy antique piece she had been moving with her all over the country that beckoned her attention in recent years. After all, if she was going to ask her husband Mike to move it from Illinois to Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Beth felt it was time to give it the attention it deserved. In celebration of our 60th Anniversary, Lakeview Village hosted its Diamond Anniversary Gala! Honorary Chair Royals Hall of Fame Pitcher and Announcer - Jeff “Monty” Montgomery spent time in conversation about the Kansas City Royals with our guests and residents. The elegant semi-formal evening in Eastside Terrace included professional musicians and jovial conversation between donors, vendors, residents and our Honorary Chair. Thank you to all who attended our Gala supporting the Lakeview Village Foundation.
