Its been tough the last few years. Deaths, grieving, business plans that didn't happen, chronic pain getting worse, pandemic land, and still trying to be a decent mom and human... All of which makes me less inclined to keep up with social media which wasn't my forte even before everything else.
But, I'm trying.
Incase you don't know by now, I'm Mae, the person behind . When I'm off being dreadful at keeping up a social media presence for my , I'm out being a , playing in my , tending my and , training my , making , , or , being a , caring for my , or trying to find a name for my LOVELY bush pictured here. I mean, seriously, isn't she amazing?!
I love getting to do all the things my life allows. I also love my business and getting to help others which means I need more presence online. I'll keep working on that, in the meantime, ?

This year got rougher than I could've ever expected and I haven't done near as much as I wanted to with
BUT I had to come out of hiding and celebrate. This business has been, is, and always will be LGBTQA+ proud and supportive. Pride is my favorite celebration (probably tied with Halloween if I'm honest) and I really miss getting to go to the live events and cry. Seriously, don't go with me if you're not prepared for crying.
The point is, I'm here with you and for you. If you need a safe mom, sister, or friend to support you, I'm here and I love you just as you are.

I honestly want to know, are you okay?
Things have been rough here. Online classes are tricky and involve so much reading that my ADD and dynamic brain are really struggling with.
On the plus side, my anxiety and desire to avoid school has me working in the Luna Bear Kitchen and dreaming up some new products.

Fresh batch of ! Making bath bombs is messy, science-y work so I had to get my hat out to make it feel more like the it is. Achy Rub is one of my most magic blends because its a topical, over the counter, herbal product that on pain. I use it frequently for my own chronic back pain.

In shop news:
I'm going to extend my processing times on ETSY to allow my school schedule to take more priorty.
I also have some new products in the works and will be and to get them finished and posted soon!

Did I mention I'm back in school? No? That's because going back to school scares the crap out of me but it has to be done so I can complete my IBCLC training. Also getting my Associates in Social Work while I'm at it. This semester is going to be intense but I'm still here to fill orders, answer questions, and help however I can. Hello beautiful people! In case you don't know, I'm Mae. I'm the person behind Luna Bear Herbals. Last year I decided to take what I did for fun and make it a business. I had plans for festivals, craft shows, the co-op in town.... you know, the plans you make when wanting to launch a business. 2020 had other plans which shot my plans in the foot. Promoting my business seemed silly in light of all we were facing (and still are) so... I mostly didn't. I'm hoping to change that this year. Yeah, things are still crazy but I want to support y'all through it like I've been supported through my first year.

To all my friends, family, acquaintances, and random people who took a chance buying my products, Thank You.
I know you wanna smell bath bombs, lotions, and salves before you buy them. You want to smell or even taste tea before purchasing. You certainly want to try Achy Rub to see if it works for you. I get that.

I've been crap at updating and promoting
I had plans to do craft fairs, festivals, farmers markets, and the like this year with my baby company. I had plans to promote and make this business successful.
2020 had other plans.
BUT Luna Bear Herbals did break even and a touch more and I'm gonna call that a win.
Thank you all for your support and purchases. I know the goodies I make are typically the types of things one smells or tries before they buy them. Your faith in my products not smelling like butt is helping keep my dream alive.

I'm going to get real honest with y'all.
I find it difficult to talk about my business in this current world. I often type out posts only to delete them because it feels like me promoting my business is like saying, "Ignore the several elephants in the room and buy more stuff." I don't want you to buy more stuff. I want you to feel better. I want your life to have more ease and comfort which can be all too difficult to find in this reality. I want to help.
Starting tomorrow, all my delightful lotions are going on sale for 20% off. A little goes a long way with these beauties and they last forever. Fall and winter are coming and if you're anything like me, the season changes bring with them more aches. So, if you've been eyeing the Achy Rub line, now's a great time to get some. We all know we need some Stress Less right about now, too. I mean, seriously, what is going on with this year?!? Having trouble sleeping? Guess what?!? I've got something for that as well! Today, valuable lessons were learned. We learned that my 3yr old son gets bored with around the 45 minute mark. We learned that he loves with his mommy and daddy. I was reminded that mowing the yard was way more fun when I did it in the lap of my grandfather as my son sat on my lap tonight while I mowed.

Happy Juneteenth!
I'm shaking off the dust and getting back to work today after being in a bit of a funk lately.
I've got some new ingredients on their way to me so new things are coming to you as well. And I officially have my 4 oz tins in stock so I'll be making them available later today for all salves.

The world is crazy and it feels weird to try to go on "as usual" but I have got to get back to working because this is my happy place.

I want to introduce you all to my roses! When I first moved in to our home, there were 4 rose bushes. None of which I wanted. You see, I never really understood why people loved roses. Sure, they make me think of my grandmother because she loved them, but otherwise I didn't care for them. Then, last year I got reminded that I like roses in tea so I harvested petals, did my research on preparing and using roses, and ended up falling in love with them as SO much more than just a memory of my grandmother. So, if you see "rose" in the ingredients on one of my products, it's from my garden. All naturally grown, carefully harvested, and prepared with love and without pesticides.

Today I'm laying in a hot bath with Against the Graine oils after doing nothing all day because of this .
Funny how when it's me with the problem I forget there's a solution but if you tell me your problems I'm ready with several different options of solutions for you. I'm working on it though...
