✨ Senior Spotlight: Knute Smith ✨
This week, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Knute Smith 🌞
Knute was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida, and his love for sunshine and the outdoors has stayed with him ever since. A true beach lover, Knute prefers sand over mountains, enjoys soaking up the rays, and loves every season—except winter!
Knute’s work life began at Publix Supermarket, where he started as a bagger and worked his way up to stocking and produce, dedicating 17 years to the company. He later spent some time living in Pennsylvania, where he continued working at a grocery store for a few more years. His strong work ethic and determination have been a constant throughout his life.
When it comes to food, Knute has great taste! His favorite cuisine is Italian, with mango gelato topping the dessert list. He’s a fan of both salty and sweet snacks, prefers tea over coffee, and reaches for a Sunkist Zero when he wants something refreshing.
In his younger years, Knute enjoyed playing the drums and still loves listening to classic rock. A self-proclaimed night owl, he finds joy in relaxing evenings and time spent outdoors whenever possible. If he had to choose a pet, there’s no question—it would be a dog 🐾.
Some of Knute’s favorite memories include family trips to amusement parks like Disney, Epcot, and SeaWorld, experiences filled with laughter and lasting joy.
The best advice Knute has ever received is that he can do anything he sets his mind to. The advice he offers others is just as meaningful:
