The North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services (DMH/DD/SUS) wants every North Carolinian to know; you are not alone.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just need someone to talk to, help is always available:

• Call or text the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline – for free, confidential support 24/7. Trained crisis counselors are ready to listen and help you through whatever you're facing.

• Reach out to the NC Peer Warmline at 1-855-PEERS NC (855-733-7762). Staffed by trained Peer Support Specialists with lived experience, the Warmline offers a compassionate ear and understanding support for mental health and substance use concerns.

Members and staff from the Journey to Success Day Program sang Christmas classics at the Oaks of Alamance yesterday. Their singing brought holiday joy to everyone in attendance. They will be performing 6 more times between now and Christmas.

Iverson Riddle Developmental Center Announces 49th Annual Holiday Parade
The 49th annual holiday parade at the J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center (JIRDC) will begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025. Residents and staff invite the entire community to enjoy the parade as the center celebrates "Storybook Holiday Parade." Marching bands, fire trucks, and floats are expected to participate as well as a special appearance by Santa Claus from the North Pole.
