✨ This week we celebrate Veterinary Receptionist Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible team members who keep our clinic running smoothly every single day. 🐾

Our receptionists are the first friendly faces you see and the reassuring voices you hear when you call. They juggle ringing phones, appointment scheduling, medical questions, emergencies, and client concerns—all while offering kindness, patience, and compassion.

They are masters of multitasking, problem-solving, and keeping things organized behind the scenes. Whether they’re helping calm a worried pet parent, fitting in an urgent visit, or making sure your pet’s records are accurate, their work is absolutely essential to everything we do.

Being a veterinary receptionist isn’t just about answering phones—it’s about supporting pets, their families, and the entire medical team every day.

If you see or speak with one of our receptionists this week, please join us in thanking them for their dedication, compassion, and hard work. We truly couldn’t do this without them!! 💙🐶🐾🐱

🌷🐣 Easter Pet Safety Reminder 🐰🌷

Easter baskets aren’t just tempting for kids—our pets are very interested too 👀. Keeping items out of your pet's reach will help prevent an unplanned trip to urgent care or the ER during the Easter holiday.

📱If you think your pet got into something, seek veterinary attention as soon as possible! 🚗

🌷 Mud Season is here, and your floors are the victim! 🐾

If your floors are starting to look like a modern art project, you’re not alone! Spring brings rain, melting snow, and plenty of muddy adventures for our four-legged friends. Below are some tips to help survive this messy season!

Bonus tip: If your pet starts licking their paws more than usual or develops redness, it may be time for a check-up—wet conditions can lead to skin infections.

Spring is almost here, and that means allergy season is about to bloom! Unlike humans, dogs mostly show allergy symptoms through their skin rather than respiratory signs. The good news? There are several ways we can help keep your dog comfortable - from prescription medications to allergy injections, medicated baths, and diet support. If your pup seems itchy, don't wait it out. Give us a call so we can help guide you with your pets allergy treatment!

Lilies are beautiful - but for cats, they can be deadly. All parts of the lily plant are toxic if ingested, and within 12 hours of ingestion they can start showing clinical signs of kidney disease (vomiting, inappetance, lethargy, and drooling). After 12 hours, the damage to the kidneys begins and can quickly become irreversible. So if you have cats, it's best to avoid bringing Lilies into your home.

Tooth Resorption is unfortunately a common dental condition we find in cats. There's no "fix" for the affected tooth once resorption starts - the only effective treatment is to extract the affected tooth. Cats are notorious for hiding pain, so usually when they start showing clinical signs the disease is advanced. This is why it's always important to have your cat's examined by a vet annually!

Unfortunately we found a deceased black & white medium hair kitty, black nose, all 4 paws white, on St. Rd 1 across from our clinic. The kitty did not have a microchip. We will handle the kitty’s aftercare. 😔

While February is Pet Dental Health Month, we know that your pet's oral health is important all-year round! Have you ever noticed your pet dropping food, avoiding hard treats or kibble, or chewing on one side of their mouth? And let's be honest, that bad smell you notice when receiving their kisses is NOT pleasant. But these are all signs of dental disease that shouldn't be ignored. Often times these issues are painful, so having your pet's oral health evaluated is important for their quality of life!

We perform full-mouth dental radiographs on every patient, allowing us to catch issues beneath the gum-line BEFORE it becomes a bigger problem. Plus, teeth are scaled and polished, resulting sparkling white teeth and fresh breath, every time.

Give us a call to schedule your pet's dental treatment to keep help keep them healthy and pain-free!

🦎 Metabolic Bone Disease is one of the most common (and preventable!) health issues we see in bearded dragons. The good news? Early detection and proper care can make a huge difference. A veterinary exam can help assess bone health and ensure your dragon’s diet, supplements, and UVB setup are appropriate.
