At the age of 10, my meme introduced me to knitting and crochet. I immediately fell in love with the process, watching a simple ball of yarn transform into various shapes with just a hook or needles. Now, years later, my passion for these crafts has only grown stronger. Each time I sit down to knit or crochet, it feels like a therapeutic escape from the chaotic pace of daily life. As one enjoys creating, seeing others appreciate my work is an added bonus. In 2023, I launched my Hugs for Heads business as a tribute to my dear friend Denise who passed away after battling cancer for years. During her hair loss journey, she struggled to find headwear that made her feel confident and beautiful. That's when I made her a hat that became known as "My Denise". Her smile said it all - she felt pretty again. My goal with this collection is to bring comfort and joy to anyone facing illness or simply looking for something special to wear. A portion of all proceeds will go to the Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass in loving memory of Denise Downes♡ & Virginia Tocci♡

Claude was raffled off this past weekend at the Bristol Mums Festival through Hugs for Heads, and we couldn’t be more excited that he’s headed to such a wonderful home. 🏡✨

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who entered, all proceeds from the raffle are going directly to the Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass, helping individuals and families during their cancer journey. 💪💜

🎉 Meet Claude – the very large, lovable crochet octopus! 🐙

Claude is making a special trip this weekend to the famous Bristol, CT Mums Festival, where he will be raffled off by Hugs for Heads.

We’ve had many friends and supporters ask how they can get in on the raffle even if they can’t attend in person. So… we’re opening up online raffle entries! ✨

👉 How it works:

Any donation (minimum $1) enters you into the raffle for a chance to win Claude.

All proceeds benefit the Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass, providing help to individuals and families during their cancer journey.

The raffle drawing will be held on Monday, September 29th, and Claude will be shipped straight to his new home!
