Last Thursday I had the pleasure of providing a low back and hip pain workshop and we had a blast!

This crew had so many great questions. We went over:

- The various factors that contribute to pain
- How the pelvic floor connects to the low back and hip
- Why anterior pelvic tilt is NOT the root cause of low back and hip pain
- How areas such as the posterior ribs, the femur, hamstrings, and feet impact the function of the low back and hips
- and more!

Reading reviews like this lights up my world! What an honor it is to work with such amazing clients and being able to help them get back to doing the things they want to do and need to do.

My client here, DD came to me with significant pain in her scar area along with difficulty trying to have a bowel movement and engage in in*******se without pain and fear. These are common issue with postpartum people and it does not get talked about enough.

We addressed scar mobilization, education on ideal bladder/ bowel habits, pelvic floor muscles lengthening and coordination training, mobilizing and strengthening the whole body, tuning into her nervous system, and most importantly - reminding her that she didnt fail her body. DD’s birth was traumatic for her and we discussed the impact of birth trauma on the pelvic floor and our whole health. We made sure she was feeling not just physically supported, but also mentally and emotionally supported.

Here at Autonomy Pelvic Health, we don’t just look at your pelvic floor muscles. We look at you as a whole person 🤍

Remember I was teasing you guys about the big news I have?? Well here it is!

Autonomy Pelvic Health is moving into a bigger and more beautiful space! 😍

I will be seeing clients here full time starting in June! In the meantime, I’ll be working behind the scenes to get this place looking amazing 🤩

To all my current and future clients, be on the lookout for emails in regards to this transition! I will be seeing clients at my current location through May.

Oh and don’t worry! This space is still in Leominster 😉

Welcome to Back to Wellness: Targeting Low Back Pain in Pregnancy & Postpartum event! Join us on Sat Apr 26 2025 at 10:00 AM at Illuminated Birth & Company- Boston Birth Doula, Birth Photography, & Childbirth Education for a workshop focused on helping you manage and alleviate low back pain during and after pregnancy. This workshop is for you if you’re dealing with low back pain that is getting in the way of you being able to sleep, move your body, care for others, and other day-to-day activities you want to do and need to do. Audra Harris, pelvic floor therapist and owner of Autonomy Pelvic Health, will be going over what causes low back pain, exercises to reduce the pain, and how the pelvic floor is connected.
