Congratulations to Irene, who recently completed her rehabilitation with us and returned home! 🎉

Irene came to us after a stroke, and our physical, occupational and speech therapists helped her regain function, mobility, and safe swallowing.

🗨️ "I enjoyed my stay at Life Care of Leominster very much," Irene said. "The therapists worked hard and were very patient with me."

On Saturday, Sept. 20, Life Care Center of Leominster participated in the annual Johnny Appleseed Festival-Leominster. 🍎 We served "Blue Devil" slushies to raise money for our Patty Goodale Scholarship Fund for the CNA program at Leominster High School. 🎓

The weather was perfect, and many slushies were poured! Even Johnny Appleseed himself enjoyed an ice cold slushy. ☺️

Congratulations to Sarah B., Activities Assistant/Bus Driver for winning the August Whatever It Takes Champions award! 🎉

Sarah has received many nominations in the past for her compassion. This month, she was honored for transporting a patient home that did not have a ride home after her rehab stay. 🚐 Due to the patient's O2 needs, she needed to be transported with facility O2. Unfortunately, the patient's family was unable to make it to the home to assist with settling in the patient, so Sarah associate stayed for an hour to ensure the patient's safety. Not only did she assist in calling the family, but when the keys were not working to enter the home, she also called the landlord. 🔑

It is part of Life Care's mission to help patients smoothly transition home while they continue their healing journey. We are so proud of Sarah for stepping up to the plate when there was no one else there to help. It takes a special person to support and care for a person in need. Without her help, this patient may not have been able to stay at home successfully. She is so much more than a "bus driver," and our resident and families are so thankful to have her. 🤗

Thank you for your hard work, Sarah. You are truly accomplishing Whatever It Takes And Then Some!
