New Yoga series begins this evening at the Shirley Library!
This is truly an all levels class. Lots of options for what feels best for your body. Postures are linked with breath to bring about a feeling of meditation in motion, quieting the mind and embodying the practice. Expect a little bit of breathing practice and end with deep relaxation. Props are available, just bring your yoga mat and a water bottle.
$60 for 6 week series or $15 drop-in.

Our days are so busy. Sometimes it feels as though there isn't even time for 3 conscious breaths. But when we take the time from our day to do something caring for ourselves, something interesting happens. Our lives grow more spacious. Even though we still have the same tasks at hand, the body is more at ease, the mind a bit more clear, and the heart a bit less reactive.
I invite you to try just one thing every day that is just for you. It could be 3 conscious breaths, a 5 minute meditation, or 5 minutes of Legs Up the Wall pose when you return home from work before moving onto home tasks. Try it for one week and see what happens to your mind and body.
The next Yoga for Stress Relief class meets tomorrow morning at 9am at 21 Culley Wellness. Space remains, so join us if you are looking for an hour to relax and nourish your mind and body.
