Friday morning Yoga Slow Flow at NEBG is on!
Join me tomorrow morning at 9:30am for a beautiful, slow flowing yoga practice. We will move, breathe, and relax through slow flowing postures and sun salutations to generate warmth and strength.

I begin each class with a "centering" meditation.
But what does that mean?
A centering meditation at the beginning of class is a way for you to transition from the busyness of the day and into your yoga practice. We allow our awareness to turn inward, leaving behind what came before, and letting go of what is yet to come. We can shift gears, from the project at work and the to-do list at home, to this one hour space on the yoga mat.
It is here we experience the present moment. The body and the breath together on the mat. And through breath awareness, watching the in and out movement of the breath, our mind joins the present moment as well.
This centering allows us to enter our yoga practice with our whole Self- body, mind, and breath.

What is the "Intelligent Edge"? How do we find it? And how does it apply to or enhance our yoga practice?
These are a few of the questions we will discover over the next 6 weeks as we explore this theme.
Join me Mondays at 10am at 21 Culley Wellness and Wednesdays 6pm at the Shirley Library.
What to expect: my signature style of gentle Hatha yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness, with a touch of strengthening and endurance through yoga.

A mindful moment...
Sit comfortably, in a chair or on the floor, spine lifted, shoulders relaxed, close your eyes if its comfortable.
Take 3 conscious breaths in... and out...
Notice the sensations of your body, your breath, your mind.
Allow your awareness to rest on the breath.
Feeling the gentle in breath and out breath moving as though gentle waves lapping along a beautiful shoreline.
Inhale... the waves gently pull out to sea.
Exhale... the waves gently kiss the sand.
Continue to watch the breath as though soft ocean waves washing ashore for 10 breaths, or as long as you'd like.
If your mind wanders, don't worry. Gently return to your breath and the imagery as you notice you've drifted away.
When you are ready to finish, softly open your eyes and notice the effect of a mindful moment on the body, breath, and mind.
Then return to your day from a more mindful and centered place.

New logo from Yoga Alliance with their new branding!
I am so proud to meet the standards of a Registered Experienced Yoga Teacher. This means I have taught over 1000 hours of classes and keep up with continuing education requirements that keep me informed on the latest yoga information, science, and research. From studying human anatomy to energy systems, best practices to mantras, posture flows to meditation, I am always learning so I can synthesize the knowledge into a well-balanced and informed yoga practice for YOU.
Thank you for showing up over and over again so that you can build your practice and enjoy the multitude of benefits from this tradition.
