Dear NESA Prospective Faculty,

I’m writing to share some exciting updates about NESA’s continued growth on the MCPHS Boston campus—and to invite you to be part of what comes next.

Since September 2025, the NESA Boston Acupuncture Treatment Center has been fully operational, expanding our clinical presence in the University and providing high-quality care, both community style and private treatments, to the MCPHS community. The treatment center has quickly become a cornerstone of our Boston footprint, supporting patient care, clinical education, and increased visibility for the acupuncture profession.

Building on this strong foundation, we are excited to announce that beginning September 2026, NESA will launch evening and weekend classes on the Boston campus. This expansion is designed to support students who need greater scheduling flexibility while maintaining the rigor, depth, and hands-on training that define a NESA education.

This next phase of growth creates new teaching opportunities for faculty who are interested in contributing to the next generation of acupuncturists, making it possible to teach without disrupting an established practice.

The Year 1 Boston curriculum has been intentionally designed around weekday evenings and weekends, blending remote didactic coursework with in-person, skills-based instruction in Boston.

Snapshot: Year 1 Evening & Weekend Schedule (Boston Campus)

Teaching opportunities include the following courses and time blocks over the academic year (Fall, Spring and Summer):

Weekday Evening Class Times: (5:30–9:00 pm | Remote)

Tuesdays
Acupuncture Patient-Centered Care, Professional Practice I and II (remote)
Introduction to Clinical Assistantship (remote)

Wednesdays
Chinese Medicine Theory I & II (remote)
Patient Assessment (in person)

Thursdays
Cultural Foundations of Chinese Medicine (remote)
Japanese Acupuncture I and II (in person)
Weekend Class Times (9:00am-3:30 pm / 4:00 pm)

Saturdays (in person)

Asian Medical Bodywork I-III

Sundays (in person)

If you’re interested in learning more or would like to be considered for teaching in Boston, I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me at Dennis.Moseman@mcphs.edu for a conversation about where your interests and expertise might align.

With gratitude for all you continue to bring to the NESA community,

Dennis Moseman, D.C., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac.
Dean, New England School of Acupuncture
