Barb Boraski Vosburgh had been struggling to breathe for months, assuming it was her COPD. After waking up with chest pain, she went to the Emergency Department at UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital Leominster campus, where Dr. Brandford Cotter and the team discovered she was severely anemic and needed a transfusion. Their kindness and clear communication meant everything — she felt truly cared for during a scary moment.

Barb shared her gratitude for Dr. Cotter, nurse Jordan, and the entire ER team. Even on one of their busiest days, they never made her feel alone. She praised the CT, X‑ray, phlebotomy, and all ER staff for their calm, cheerful, outstanding care.

By the next morning, she could breathe normally for the first time in ages and at 78, she’s excited to get back to her garden this spring!
