I was recently asked about mental health therapy and AI...

Academy of Therapy Wisdom offers the following:
Apps like Replika, Woebot, and Wysa are offering mental health “support” to millions of people, especially Gen Z and younger millennials, who prefer texting with a bot over waiting days or weeks to see a human.

These tools promise round-the-clock attention, customized reflections, and “therapy without the therapist.”

While this may be true, AI CANNOT:

Track a client’s nervous system moment by moment

Feel the subtle shift in breath, posture, or tone

Offer attuned presence that helps regulate shame, neglect or trauma

Hold complex grief with a warm and steady heart

Let your body say, “You are safe here” — without words

AI can mimic conversation...

But it cannot co-regulate.
It cannot re-pattern attachment.
It cannot offer embodied wisdom earned through a lifetime of walking with others in their pain.

The future of therapy is not faster. It’s deeper.

Seeing a body of someone who died at a funeral can be a significant moment for a child who is grieving. Some may find comfort in saying goodbye, while others may feel uncertain or hesitant. Every child processes grief in their own way and having support can make all the difference. We are sharing ways funeral directors can support a child when viewing the body. This information is from the National Alliance for Children's Grief Children and Funerals toolkit. Download or print the full resource here:
