Hi, I am sorry to say that in the future to sign up for a training with us students will need to make a non refundable deposit to reserve their seat. We are running into problems of people signing up for classes and not attending. To resolve this issue this is the only solution I can see. I hate to do this but in a couple of classes we have lost money. We have not raised our prices but we all know that prices on everything has gone up and we will continue to do the best we can for everyone.
On a positive note! This week we went to Louisa Muscatine Schools and gave training for over 60 Sophomores for free, the only cost is if they want a card that they pay for. All the manikins,supplies,and time are donated. This is why we need to stay in business. We had help from Letts Fire and the L&M nurse. In the Spring we will do the same amount of Freshman. Thanks for your help in keeping us in business so we can do things like this.Any questions please give me a call at 563-299-0904.

If we cancel the class due to lack of enrollment we will refund the deposit.

Hi,
I hope everybody is doing well and being safe. We are still continuing to do our due diligence on cleaning our equipment to keep providers safe and have no plans on changing what we do.We will not stop doing one set of manikins per student. We are having a webpage built to help students register for classes. They can pay for classes online or they can always call and register that way also. The webpage will be scottdevorecpr.com I will let everyone know when it is up and going.
The big news is that Shelly Gardner has joined us. Shelly works days in Iowa City and will be covering the Cedar Rapids area. If there is a class in Iowa City area that I cannot take care of Shelly will cover that.If that happens we will let the center know before the class, but please have centers contact me first. Shelly is a former Police Officer and a currant EMT. She has been helping with classes for a while. She is looking for a location to do a once a month open training in the Cedar Rapids area. If you know of a location please let her know.If there is a class in that area she cannot make I will cover it. She will be doing the same classes I do such as Medic First Aid classes along with American Heart Association. She has all brand new equipment just like mine. If she has over 10 in a class I will help her and bring my equipment also. She has been doing a great job and I think providers will be pleased at the quality of training she provides. She is ready to start doing centers now. She will be billing through S Devore Enterprises. centers will need to have at least 7 in a training and the cost will be $65 per student. Soon she will be able to take credit cards the same way I do now.
We are now able to electronic certification cards for providers who need to renew their CDA. We will ask the providers at the start of class and do a separate roster for them. After they have been put in the data base their cards usually is sent within in an hour.
Finally we are changing our dates but not locations for our open enroll classes. The hope is during the summer months this helps with schedules. We will continue to do centers separately if they have more than 7. With all the extra cleaning cost and time we are going to have to raise prices to be $65 across the board starting 3/1/21. This will only effect Muscatine classes.

Class sizes are limited due to social distancing and masks will be required at class and gloves will be worn for manikin practice. I will send out reminders once a month of upcoming classes. As always each student will have their own set of manikins and we will continue our cleaning of the room before and after class. We having been working diligently to keep our manikins and all equipment clean and decomtaminated to keep all of our students safe.
