I've literally never done embroidery (other than cross stitch). It always looks gorgeous as I scroll through my feed of talented artists. I finally decided to join the and got my first kit this week. I'm in between portraits right now, so I started this month's stitch club a few days ago.
It's definitely NOT perfect and it looks nothing like what other people in the stitch club are posting, but I'm doing something I never thought I could do and I'm pretty proud 💅

Jackie reached out to me for a birthday gift for her sister. I quickly got to work, and honestly when I saw there was potential for space buns, I was so excited!
I absolutely loved stitching up her adorable nieces. I wasnt sure what kind of shirt to put on her brother in law. She mentioned he always has Marvel shirts on so ✅ DONE!
I went to get Jackie's shipping address and it turns out she lives in the part of Queens that I lived in as a small child. It's not really talked about often so life once again proves it is a super small world!

What a nice, relaxing portrait to recreate! Jenna was super laid back and great to work with. Recreating her younger son’s hair and overalls was so much fun. I always love the simplicity of a raglan tee on children (or adults!).
The biggest struggle was getting the name lined up since it’s so long 😅.
I’m so happy to have finally been able to recreate this beautiful family !

When Olivia sent me a family portrait, I was immediately drawn to the color of the outfits. I think the fall vibes *really* drew me in. This portrait was particularly relaxing for me to make. I loved making her little ones striped sweater, and stitching Olivia's hair was super satisfying. The icing on the cake was stitching their beautiful family pup 🐶

Here is the finished product from my Valentine’s Day giveaway!
Melissa decided she wanted different shades of red in her portrait to make it more “Valentines-y”. I really enjoyed going through my endless stash and picking out all different color reds for this portrait!
