In this class you will learn the basic principles of TRAGER work and a repertoire of hands-on moves. You will be able to give a full TRAGER session to a practice partner.
An important aspect of TRAGER work is self care. Being more aware of your own body’s positions and movements will make any type of bodywork you have previously practiced easier on yourself and the client, with more immediate, tangible and longer lasting results. Learning TRAGER work may prolong a career of hands-on work with clients and patients of any age.
If you a new to the bodywork profession this course will set you up for a potentially long lasting career working with clients of any age in any field.
TRAGER’s intensive focus on self care and movement meditation may make this course a profound contribution to a personal growth journey.
About the Instructor:
Judy Rose Seibert became captivated by Trager® work in 1995, and has been a Practitioner for over 26 years. As a teacher, she is known for her skill of clearly articulating and demonstrating Trager movements and principles. During trainings, students learn to embody the playful, relaxing movements and feelings of Trager work. Judy Rose loves the fact that part of this training is learning how to “work” with greater ease and comfort, and that this self-ease makes the work more effective and relaxing for our clients.
Judy Rose's delight in teaching extends back many years. She taught biological science at Sidwell Friends School, in Washington, DC for eight years, and adult dance classes for a decade. She loves anatomy and is fascinated with the complexities and mystery of the human body/mind, and the new discoveries of neuroscience. Her BS is in Biological Science.
