This past week, Dr. Christopher Caputo and his team performed the first Aquablation procedures in Delaware, treating patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This cutting-edge technology provides a minimally invasive treatment option for men with enlarged prostates.

Aquablation Therapy is a breakthrough treatment option that uses a camera-aided scope, ultrasound imaging, and a heat-free, high-velocity waterjet to precisely remove excess prostate tissue. This innovative approach offers a less invasive alternative to traditional prostate surgery and can significantly improve urinary symptoms—the most common reason men visit a urologist.

We'd like to welcome Asil Omar, PA-C to ! Asil is a physician assistant who works at various Walk-In Care Centers operated by Beebe Medical Group. She diagnoses and treats a wide range of issues that require prompt medical attention but are not considered life threatening – from influenza and COVID-19 to strep throat, bronchitis, lacerations, and minor injuries. Asil sees patients of all ages.

NOTICE FOR SATURDAY, JULY 12!
A crane will arrive Saturday morning to Beebe Healthcare’s Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus, slightly altering the flow of traffic throughout the day.

Beginning at 6 a.m. Saturday, July 12, the patient drop-off and pickup circle will be closed at the east entrance of the hospital. The emergency department entrances will not be affected. Care team members will contact patients about any new discharge locations.

For those exiting the Lewes Campus, the lane leading to Savannah Road will also be closed to traffic. Anyone leaving will be directed to use the exit onto West Fourth Street or Market Street.

Entrance to the Campus off of Savannah Road will remain open for patients, visitors, and emergency vehicles. Beebe Public Safety and Delaware State Fire Police will help direct traffic in the lot. However, Beebe Public Safety recommends using the entrance off of Fourth Street.

All lanes will reopen approximately 3 p.m. Saturday, pending weather and any unforeseen delays.
