Rodent poisons can be convenient, but everyone should know that these anticoagulant rodenticides cause animals to internally bleed to death, and it's not just mice and rats. Since rodents are nibblers, it may take up to a week before they die from the poison. In the meantime, they are easy for their predators (hawks, owls, foxes, etc.) to catch. These animals then bioaccumulate the toxics in their systems and become weakened and die from other maladies, or getting hit by a vehicle, or hemorrhage to death.
There are other alternatives to rat poison. Share the message--good people just don't know.
