Dr. Zapas brings extensive experience and a track record of excellence in surgical leadership with acute care facilities and medical groups. In his new role, he will oversee the provision of care for all Beebe's surgical services, focusing on the continuous expansion and enhancement of comprehensive surgical care to meet the evolving needs of the growing and aging community.

His leadership priorities include managing the surgical services team, recruiting highly skilled surgical specialists, and maintaining a steadfast focus on quality, safety, program development, patient experience, and outcomes.

With this announcement, we welcome the Cardiovascular Institute Physician Leader, Mouhanad Freih, MD. Dr. Freih is joining Beebe Medical Group and becoming an employed physician at Beebe to further this initiative. Additionally, Andrew Foy, MD, will be leading the opening of the general cardiology practice for BMG.
