Some days you’re the main character.

Other days? You’re Googling “can stress burn calories” while eating cookies over the sink.

And honestly? That’s okay.

If your brain feels foggy, your motivation’s on vacation, or you feel like you’re moving through wet cement while the world’s on 2x speed—you’re not alone.

It’s easy to slip into fix-it mode.
Power through. Push past. Try to outrun the feeling.

But maybe you don’t need to do more.
Maybe you just need to be with what’s here.

Some parts of growth are uncomfortable.
Not because you’re doing it wrong.
But because you’re stretching.
Shedding something old.
Becoming something new.

✨ This week, try this:
— Let the fog be fog
— Count the small stuff as progress
— Feel what you’re feeling without needing to clean it up

You don’t have to be “on.”
You don’t have to bounce back instantly.
You’re not behind—you’re becoming.

Eagle Pose looks like a puzzle at first — arms and legs wrapping, balance challenged, breath tested.

But once you settle in, it’s less about the tangle and more about the focus.

It’s about centering yourself in the middle of the swirl.
Finding stillness inside all the movement.

Try it like this:
👉 Start standing tall in Mountain Pose
👉 Bend your knees slightly and shift weight into your right foot
👉 Cross your left thigh over the right — toes can tap the floor, block, or hook behind the calf
👉 Bring your left arm under your right and wrap the forearms, pressing palms together (or hands to shoulders if that’s more accessible)
👉 Lift the elbows slightly, drop the shoulders away from the ears
👉 Keep your gaze steady on one point ahead and breathe evenly
👉 Switch sides when you’re ready

Why this pose matters:
✅ Strengthens legs, ankles, and core
✅ Stretches shoulders, upper back, and hips
✅ Improves balance and focus
✅ Calms the mind and builds concentration

Helpful tip:
Can’t hook your leg or bind your arms today? No worries. Hug your shoulders, press your palms together, or keep your toes grounded.

DimitraYOGA is a community of yoga teachers, healers and students who are dedicated to promoting health, happiness and well being along the beaches and beyond. By building strength - mentally, physically and spiritually - we develop the ability to transform our perspective.

Our Lewes studio (near Five Points) has a full schedule of yoga classes and workshops most weekends off season. You’ll also find us in downtown Rehoboth Beach (1st block off the boards on the Avenue), where we offer mat and aerial yoga classes, as well as massage, shamanic healing, reiki, acupuncture and more!
