A whopping 1.1 miles from our original location. WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY??
DITI (Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging or Thermography) is a non-invasive diagnostic technique that allows the examiner to visualize and quantify changes in skin surface temperature.

DITI's role in breast disorders is to help in early detection and monitoring of abnormal physiology and the establishment of risk factors for the development or existence of disease. This 15-minute non-invasive test is a valuable procedure for alerting your GP or specialist to the possibility of underlying breast disease. This test is designed to improve chances for detecting active tumors in the intervals between mammographic screenings or when mammography is not indicated by screening guidelines for women less than 50 years of age. A patient's thermograms are kept on record and form a baseline for all future routine evaluations.
For younger women in particular, results from DITI screening can lead to earlier detection and ultimately, longer life.

Inflammation is a precursor to many
diseases such as cancer, arthritis, heart disease, stroke. Early detection of inflammation is critical – when you can prevent or intervene in the development process before it turns into disease.

Hyperthermia – heat or hot spots (red and white) or Hypothermia cold spots (blue, purple, and black) May indicate inflammation or a vascular, circulatory or nerve problem within the body.
Since there is a high degree
of thermal symmetry in the normal body, subtle abnormal temperature asymmetries
can be easily identified. Used as a
preventative tool, DITI can be a resource for carotid artery blockage, dental infractions, thyroid and digestive function- as well as pinpointing the source of pain.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Henlopen Chiropractic Center will remain open to serve our community and wanted to make you aware of some scheduling/policy changes:

~ Due to the heightened State of Emergency and closure of non-essential businesses, we are unable to treat “maintenance” patients. We are open to treat urgent/emergency patients.
~ We are extending appointment times to limit patient to patient contact and sanitize properly between each patient. This means that we are now disinfecting the chairs, countertops, door handles, pens, and anything that comes in patient contact after each person leaves. The adjusting and massage tables have always been cleaned between each patient.
~For once, you should not be early to your appointment to minimize patients in the waiting room. You may wait in your car after signing in to let us know that you are here.
~ If you have a fever, dry cough, or have recently traveled or been around someone who has, we ask that you reschedule your appointment
~ If you are an older adult or a person with heart disease, lung disease, or diabetes, please reschedule your appointment

While you may be asked to move or reschedule your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate everyone. We ask for your patience during this time. Together, we will get through it!

Tips for patients to remain safe during this time:

~ In case you haven’t heard, wash your hands frequently and diligently (30 seconds of soap contact before rinsing)
~ Buzz words – Social distancing and flattening the curve- Maintain 6’ feet between you and others to help decrease the spread of disease
~ Something you may not have heard – If you believe you have the Coronavirus, DO NOT take elderberry or Ibuprofen! Both of which have proven to worsen the illness
~ Stay home as much as possible!
