Dr. Jillian Douglas specializes in Internal Medicine and Diabetes. She treats a wide range of endocrine disorders including conditions of the thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands, as well as lipid disorders. Dr. Douglas also offers treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome and infertility, and is a nutritionist, obesity and diabetes educator. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for Diabetes, Metabolism and Endocrinology, and by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Before founding Southern West Virginia ENT & Endocrinology, Drs. Justin and Jillian Douglas interviewed for positions all over the East Coast, but ultimately chose to make the investment to keep their practice in the state of West Virginia to offer patients university-quality care in a small-town atmosphere.

We have found that Google Maps is reporting that our road - Skylar Drive - is closed. This is not accurate. Our road is open to our office from Davis Stuart Road just as it always has been open. Skylar Drive is no longer open to through traffic and does not connect to Pamm Street. We apologize for any confusion and as always look forward to seeing our patients!

With the roads snow covered, iced in places and sleeting in others our office will closed today. Stay warm and stay safe. We will reopen Monday with regular hours. If you have an emergency call 911 or go to your nearest Emergency Room.

We would like to let our patients and anyone else interested of an upcoming change. Medicare will no longer be covering telehealth visits for medical care beginning October 1st, 2025. Most if not all insurance companies typically follow Medicare changes.

Unfortunately Southern WV Endocrinology will be ending our telehealth service on October 1st because of this Medicare change. If you have a telehealth visit scheduled with our office after this date, we will be rescheduling it to an in office visit. We apologize for this change and the inconvenience it may cause our patients. As a small independent medical practice, we cannot afford to take a chance and not get paid by your insurance for your visit.

We will be offering a cash pay option for telehealth visits. This payment will need to be made prior to your telehealth appointment. We will not bill your insurance for this visit if you decide on this option.

We understand the difficulty travelling long distances, dealing with poor weather conditions, and all the problems that make telehealth such a great option for our patients. So we recommend reaching out to your elected representatives to let them know how this will effect you and your ability to get necessary healthcare.
