I have been a therapist for almost 7 years now.
I have met some amazing people along the way as clients . They share their lives sometimes, and sometimes they are on the quiter side, but they come back and that is all that matters.
Each massage is tailored to my client's needs and if I do not feel I am the best match for someone, I refer them out like any ethical therapist would do. We aren't going to match with every person & that is okay .
But something I have heard several times and it just has really got to me is that some people come in to get a massage and tell me they have never been in for one is because either A. They didn't feel comfortable in their body to get one, B. They didn't feel it was for people likely them ( speaking of their economical status), or C. Some men feel it is more for women..yes I have heard many other reasons and sometimes wildy enough some people do not like massages...I cannot understand it..but I respect anyone's choice and that is a different story .
I don't however want anyone to miss out on at least trying out a massage because they don't feel it is for them for any of other reasons..at least try it a few times ..search for your match ( don't let one bad experience ruin it, your therapist is out there)
Massage is for everybody & every body!
