⚡️ Welcome to Testimony Tuesday! ⚡️
This week’s testimony comes from Michaela. Michaela is the best mama to the sweetest 9 month old, Isaac. Michaela’s story is one of loss and incredible strength in the midst of a storm!
Fun fact about Michaela:
I love singing!
Michaela’s story and how she found freedom through it:
My daughter, Ellie Brooke, was stillborn on September 9, 2023 when I was 7 months pregnant with her. She had a rare genetic disorder that was not compatible with life. Losing my daughter was the most traumatic, heartbreaking thing I’ve ever experienced, but as I look back on that season I have countless stories of the Lord’s faithfulness. There is a song that says “Almighty Fortress, You go before us. Nothing can stand against the power of our God. You shine in the shadow. You win every battle. Nothing can stand against the power of our God.” I can’t tell you how many times I would become overwhelmed with worry and fear, and as soon as I turned on the radio, it would be playing this exact part of the song. The Lord would show up at the perfect time, with the exact thing I needed to hear, time and time again, to give me hope and strength. We aren’t promised that we won’t face hard things, but we are promised that He will be with us through every moment. I could not have made it through that season without the Lord. He gave me courage and hope that I could have never mustered up on my own.
What is one piece of advice or inspiration you would say to a mother going through the same thing?
There are things we won’t understand this side of heaven, questions that just don’t have answers, but we do have promises we can cling to. Death is not the end. In the worst moment of my life, my little girl was already embraced in the arms of Jesus. And she will only ever know His love and the perfection of heaven! When my heart is missing her, I find so much comfort and joy in that truth!
What is a quote or scripture that has helped/helps you?
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away. Then the one seated on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!”
Revelation 21:4-5
“And to think, the first thing you saw when you opened your tiny little eyes was the face of Jesus.”
We hope Michaela’s story brings you strength and helps you remember that you are not alone!
