WVSOM’s Convocation and White Coat Ceremony will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22, in the Conference Center in the WVSOM Student Center. The event officially marks the commitment of students in our Class of 2027 to a life of health care service. We’re proud to announce that the ceremony’s keynote speaker will be L. Faith Payne, D.O., a WVSOM alumna who practices urology in Beckley, W.Va. Payne is also a WVSOM clinical assistant professor, and her professional appointments include membership in the West Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association’s (WVOMA) Board of Trustees and the Raleigh General Hospital Board of Trustees. She serves on the board of the WVSOM Alumni Association.
