Patient Update!

Beginning today, April 17, patient lab services, including blood draws, will no longer be available on weekends at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Group 8th Street location.

Monday through Friday, St. Joe’s will continue to staff a laboratory receptionist and a phlebotomist at the 8th Street Medical Office to support patients referred by outside providers and our pediatric department.

Patients needing lab services are encouraged to visit nearby collection sites, including Pathologists’ Regional Laboratory (PRL) at 1035 21st Street in Lewiston, ID. A full list of PRL locations and hours is available here: https://pathregional.com/collection-sites/

April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month 💙

At St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, we care for over 4,500 kids each year through our dedicated pediatric unit. Our team includes PALS-certified providers and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners who provide specialized, compassionate care for children and families.

We were honored to take part in yesterday’s Family Fun Fair, focused on strengthening families through connection, education, and resources. We’re also bringing back pinwheels to place around our hospital as a symbol of prevention and awareness!

Dr. Ormond brings expertise in minimally invasive and image-guided surgical techniques for both benign and malignant brain and spine tumors, focused on protecting brain function and improving outcomes.

He also treats hydrocephalus, stroke, AVMs, traumatic brain injury, and complex spine disorders. Known for his precision, innovation, and patient-centered approach to care, he is committed to delivering highly personalized treatment.

The Café Is Going Cashless

Beginning April 27, the Café at St. Joe’s will move to cashless payments. Going cashless helps us provide faster service, reduce wait times, and create a safer, more convenient experience for our customers.

Cash options are still available in the Mini Market. The Market is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m., and 24 hours on the weekend, offering convenient options for early mornings, late nights, and everything in between.
