Did you know this week is National Volunteer Week? We're celebrating Regence employees who give back to their communities year-round!

CC has been with Regence for 25 years and volunteering with The Idaho Foodbank for much of that time. She regularly volunteers at their Lewiston location, repackaging donated items, sorting fresh produce and filling backpacks with weekend meals for students.

"I was raised from an early age that it's not about what I have, but what you can do to give back to your community," CC shares.

She often brings her children along to help them understand that not everyone has what they need. One shift on Martin Luther King Jr. Day became a light bulb moment for her kids about what food insecurity really looks like.

Her recommendation for those considering volunteering: "Find a cause that resonates with you. When you do something that fuels you, engagement comes naturally." Thank you, CC, for passing on the spirit of service!

Did you know kidney disease affects 1 in 7 adults, about 37 million people? Diabetes and high blood pressure are leading causes, and early signs include changes in how often you urinate, dark or bloody urine, itchy skin, swelling and fatigue. Protect your kidneys by staying active, reducing salt and avoiding smoking. If kidney disease runs in your family, steer clear of ibuprofen and naproxen, as they may damage your kidneys.
