As the temperatures rise, so does the risk of heat-related illness, especially for seniors and those with health conditions. Care Connection is here to help you or your loved ones stay safe, comfortable, and cared for during these hot summer months.
Here are a few ways to beat the heat:
Stay hydrated. Be sure to drink water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
Dress smart. Wear light, breathable clothing.
Keep cool indoors. Use fans, AC, or cool compresses. Avoid going outdoors for long periods of time during peak heat hours.
Eat light, choose hydrating foods like fruits and salads.
If you have elderly neighbors or loved ones, check on them often!
Our caregivers are trained to monitor for signs of dehydration and heat exhaustion, ensuring our clients stay cool, comfortable, and healthy all summer long.
