Does anyone else feel like September just got REALLY busy?!? 🙋‍♀️ so many things to put on the calendar. So many options of things to see and do and be a part of. I love it!

Something I am trying to implement more for my family is some volunteer work. We are SO blessed and it feels good to be a part of something for the greater good. Opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
I have a family member in rehab at a nursing home and so I’ve been spending some time there. The staff is wonderful and kind and caring but oh my do they have their hands full! Taking a walk around their little courtyard we get to talking “I wonder who fills these birdhouses?” “I wonder who does the weeding?” … and I’m thinking it’s just normal people like you and I. Volunteers.

Honestly though. I NEVER would have thought that a nursing home might want help with gardening… and it probably never would have come to my attention except that I’m placed in that atmosphere for a bit and see different things.

So I want your eyes. What do you see? Have you seen a need anywhere in our community that might otherwise go unnoticed? Or do you have a favorite place that you volunteer your time? Many of us have been blessed by some volunteer work at some time or another. Maybe you have a story like that. Share it with us 😊

This little line of lip balms ready to get their picture taken just made me smile. 😊 with school starting I get to thinking about my teaching days and remembering those wiggly giggly little kiddos trying their best to follow the leader in front of them.

Many of those kiddos became close friends through the year and it was neat to watch their personalities bloom. You always had a few natural born leaders who asked to be the “line leader”.

So today is a shout out to the line leaders! For a chance to win a free lip balm tag a friend who is a natural born leader. Both you and the person you tag will receive a lip balm.

I’m really excited about these wonderful smells …..and the slightly cooler weather ….and a good cotton sweater (I totally did not mean to rhyme but let’s go with it 🤷‍♀️)

But if I’m being honest I just recently came to terms with it all as I was NOT ready for Summer to end this year. I’m not sure why. 🤔
But alas, the crisp morning air has got me excited for Fall.
