After COVID, Levi was living in constant fear with panic attacks, overwhelming anxiety, and emotional outbursts that made everyday life feel impossible. His mom shared, “He was consumed by fear.” It got so hard that even school became too much, and they were asked not to return.

At first, they thought it was behavioral. They tried discipline, bribes, supplements… but nothing worked. “I felt hopeless at times. Like I was failing as a mom.”

Everything started to shift when they began care at Compassion. Little by little, change showed up. First, better immunity. Then, a calmer nervous system. And eventually… a completely different kid showing up to school.

If your child isn’t sleeping, their nervous system may be stuck in stress mode. Sleeping isn’t just for rest...or a break for parents to finally have a second to unload the dishes. 😆 When kids sleep, their brains are filing away everything they learned. Growth hormones are released. Immune cells are rebuilding. Emotions are being processed. That’s a lot that goes on each night!! Which means if your child isn’t sleeping, their body isn’t going through that full cycle.

Instead, here’s what can happen in their body:

🚗 Body is in fight-or-flight — can’t shift to rest
😤 Exhausted-but-wired pattern at bedtime
🤒 Immune system can’t rebuild overnight
