We are a busy Wellness Collective in Lewisville, North Carolina. We are looking to hire a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team! We have a full-time and part-time position available with flexible hours. Charming, beautiful, relaxing environment close to Winston-Salem and Clemmons. We are looking for an eager, self motivated Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. Preferably someone who is looking to grow their career and expand their business. Minimal side work. “We found that massage actually increases natural killer cells. Natural killer cells are the front lines of the immune system. They kill viral cells, bacteria cells. We studied breast cancer and found an increase in natural killer cells. We think that the reason that happens is because we’re knocking down cortisol levels, the body’s culprit stress hormone. Cortisol kills natural killer cells, and so if we can reduce the stress hormones, we can save natural killer cells.”

Physical contact seems to be declining in modern life. But what happens when we lack human touch?

By touching a body, we touch every event it has experienced. For a few brief moments we hold all of a client's stories in our hands. We witness someone's experience of their own flesh, through some of the most powerful means possible: the contact of our hands, the acceptance of the body without judgment, and the occasional listening ear. With these gestures we reach across the isolation of the human experience and hold another person's legend. In massage therapy, we show up and ask, in so many ways, what it is like to be another human being. In doing so, we build a bridge that may heal us both.
