Understand the intimacy of death and quickly responds to each mood and moment. Knows the many faces of grief and helps the family members understand them. Walks for the families through the corridors of confusion and despair onto the path of acceptance and serenity. &’ through education, experiance, and personal compassion, is the one most dedicated in helping people during this time of pain and sorrow. Thus, with GENTLE STRENGTH and deep sensitivity, the death care worker serve our society. 🤍🖤

This is for the undertaker, who’s story is sad to tell, for what they do is unmentioned, and often overlooked as well.

She’s not at all what you may picture, she’s not wrinkled, old or grey. Her face is not pasty white, like the storybooks portray. 

Some people laugh and make their jokes, and some turn up their nose, and many thank that she is strange, for the life that she has chose.

But there are many things they don’t see, and even more that they don’t know. Like all the nights she gets NO rest and never lets it show.

They have heard she works day and night, with no time to eat or sleep. To care for those in mourning, and comfort those who weep.

The load she carries on her shoulders is more than most could bare, but she always seems to find time to make sure you know she cares.

So when you see the undertaker make sure you see the person that does the job that no one wants and that no one understands.

Being a undertaker is not a job it’s a life style that is chosen by the tough hearted 🖤

Hello Friends,

We would love to inform you of all the recent changes here in Lexington. Myself (Anna Mattingly) and Michael Noon are happy to announce that we have recently taken ownership of Bluegrass Embalming Services and Transportation. We have changed our name to Bluegrass Embalming Services, LLC. We are so happy and excited about this new chapter. We look forward to serving each one of our funeral service clients with the up most respect. We hope to get to know each of you as the time passes if we already do not know you now.

We take pride in our work and have started to do things a little differently at our mortuary, all for the better. We hope to gain your trust and hope to gain some great working relationships in the future. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions about anything whatsoever. We will be more than happy to answer anything you have for us!
