High levels of near-sightedness in children has become a world wide concern. If left unchecked, the changes in the eye at a young age can be the precursor for eye issues later in life such as retinal detachments, glaucoma, and retinal degeneration. Current methods of near-sighted control can come with side effects such as blurred vision and light sensitivity (dilating drops) and/or the high cost of daily/nightly contact lens use. Students can have issues that don't seem related to vision/focusing issues but can be, such as:
1. Poor attention span and reduced class participation
2. Eye strain, headaches, neck/shoulder pain and eye twitching
3. Low grades and test scores
4. Behavioral issues
5. Low self esteem/confidence

CKE is the best optometry practice because of these wonderful, caring, funny, quirky people ❤️ Our doctors and staff are second to none and take care of our customers, patients and each other like family.
