Did someone say plastic? so while we are on the subject of plastic here... I had a friend ask, what "plastics" are Melaleuca's pods made of (they asked about the dish pods, but turns out both are made of the same thing).
Most "pods" on the market are primarily composed of a water-soluble plastic film called polyvinyl alcohol (PVA or PVOH), which encapsulates concentrated detergents, degreasers, and surfactants. While designed to dissolve, this plastic often breaks down into microplastics that enter the environment. (OUCH!)
THE GOOD News... Melaleuca's Pods aren't "Plastic" at all...
There are made of a Water-Soluble Alcohol and is Corn Derived... It is completely miscible in water. (miscibility describes liquids (e.g., ethanol/water) that fully blend.)
I love this company!
