This, right here, is the hard work we are all doing right now as we transition back to being together. Notice, label, and move forward with intention.

As we get ready for the big return, everyone everywhere needs to hear this wisdom from my two-part Dare to Lead conversation with Priya Parker.

Part One blew me away. We have an amazing opportunity to reset — to keep what serves and let go of what doesn't. It's going to take creativity and courage.

Part Two (drops Monday) is a deeply vulnerable leadership conversation where Priya helps me with a "meeting makeover." We deconstruct a meeting that isn't working to figure out how we can better use our team's time and talents. HARD.

May is mental health awareness month. Mental health is just as important as (and so connected to) our physical health. Recent data shows that people are experiencing higher levels of anxiety and depression than pre-pandemic. It’s ok to not be ok and to ask for help. Check in with your loved ones. Support policy changes that give people better access to mental health care.

Take a few moments to be still, breathe deeply, and check in with your feelings. Label and describe them without avoiding them. Remind yourself that it’s ok to feel your feelings and think of a kind way you can respond to them.
