Yesterday we had the most amazing first class at The Grape Escape Vineyard.
It was so nice to all line up on their beautiful shady front porch under all of the big ceiling fans listening to the serene sounds of nature with a view of the big clear sky over the vineyard.

It was so great to see so many familiar faces and to see some new faces. We have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to use for Class.

Our next Class is Saturday, September 16th at 11 AM.

Classes will be held every other Saturday and cost is $10. All levels are welcome making this class accessible to beginners and families.

This is a one hour Yoga class. Mats are available to borrow or BYO(mat).

Pay in person. Cash, credit cards, cash app, and Venmo payment types are accepted.

Stick around after class to enjoy a glass of wine if you would like!

Hi Everyone! If you follow my Photography page Erin Hardy Photography you have most likely seen some of this info.
I wanted to create this post making a few updates, answering some questions, and clearing some possible confusion. The Physical Studio Space location has closed. I am still doing Photography and teaching Yoga… yes… when I can since returning back to my Corporate Job with the Hospital last week.

I will be honest the last few months and really the last month has been a blur with starting a new full time job, closing the Yoga Studio, and continuing to train for a body building competition.

As of right now there is not a plan in place for offering Private Yoga Lessons again and I am working on finding the best and most inexpensive platform to use for online Yoga offerings. There will be a post and information released when online Yoga is finalized.

Clearly I will not be available for Photography and Yoga as much as I have been. The great news is that starting in September I will be teaching in person Yoga Classes at The Grape Escape Vineyard every other Saturday at 11am so take a look at my last post and under events if you would like more info on that.

I am trying my best to make this transition as easy as possible. Keep in mind I still have a TON of things I need to handle, close, transfer, and take care of. My availability is very limited right now. With that being said if I have missed an email or an inquiry I deeply apologize and I am working diligently on getting caught up as I am transitioning. As many of you can relate… life happens and life has clearly been happening. I am really looking forward to getting back into offering the things that I love and are passionate about simply because I love them and not because it makes a living.

Thank you all so much,
Erin

The Lexington Dispatch wrote a great article on our closing yesterday. I want to remind everyone that although this may be the end to a brick and mortar physical Studio space for now, this is not the end of Magnolia Rose Yoga and me teaching in other locations. You may not see me as much, but you will see me. I will not and can not stop doing what I love and what I am passionate about. I will also continue to do Photography and run my Photography business Erin Hardy Photography.

Continue to follow us on social media as we will put out updates when teaching at special events or traveling to teach at local locations or in the triad area. There may be something very soon. Stay tuned!

Thank you all for all of the love and continued support through such a difficult time. 🧘🏼‍♀️💕

Hey Everyone! I really have appreciated your support and positivity since our closing announcement. If you have sent me a message and I have not responded yet I do apologize, but I will not be responding until I feel like I’m in a better head space. I hope you all can understand. I’m just taking the time I need this week to be on the farm grounding and working, but also in the Studio finishing clean up and much more. It feels like every time I open social media I see something that feels like another kick in the gut so it has been really hard and challenging to stay looking inside at me and all that I have accomplished and not outside at what everyone else is doing.

I start my Corporate job back with Baptist Hospital on 8/7th. I am really looking forward to being back this time with a new department. I am doing my very best to continue to focus on my bodybuilding competition in November, my family, and our farm. I have so many wonderful things to look forward to. Some days I’m sad, happy, excited, angry, I feel like I’ve failed, then I feel like I succeeded. Some days I feel lost and some days I feel like I’m exactly where I need to be.

Even though transition can be hard life is happening and I am grateful to be here. 🧘🏼‍♀️

Dear Magnolia Rose Yoga Community,

We are writing you in great sadness today to tell you that we have made the very difficult decision to close Magnolia Rose Yoga. We love our little studio in the city and our devoted community of yogis, but continuing the studio just isn’t financially feasible. Over the last few months we have become exhausted in the many efforts that we have made to obtain more financial consistency within our studio.

Our decision to close is based solely on financial inconsistency and continuing to endure financial hardships in today’s very tough economy. When we weigh in the truth of the physical, mental, and financial difficulty that we have had over the last two years opening in the midst of a pandemic even with the many changes that we have navigated through to remain open we are just not able to see the true wellness for ourselves in the reality of continuing to own and operate a business right now.
We would love to keep practicing with you online eventually. That is our goal for the future.

For those of you with current unlimited memberships and class pass credits, you have the following two options:

1. You can donate the value of your remaining classes to the studio to help us with ongoing obligations and closing expenses.

2. You can convert the remaining classes of your pass purchase and use that credit for virtual Youtube classes with Erin.

Please reach out to us by August 7th, 2023 by emailing magnoliaroseyoga@gmail.com with your preferred pass credit option. All pass credits become non-transferable and will be lost after August 7th, 2023.

As always, we appreciate your presence on this journey with us and we hope to continue practicing with you in the future.

Our Very Best,
~Erin and Jonathon Hardy Magnolia Rose Yoga, Owners/Founders

There are so many wonderful Child’s Pose variations to do supported with blocks, bolsters, or both! Bringing in a breathing pattern like inhaling for a count of four, holding the breath for a count of four, then releasing the breath for a longer count of six can really help to open the heart and relieve that tension that often likes to sit between the shoulder blades (not to mention slowing the heart rate, balancing/calming the central nervous system).

When elevating the elbows or forearms on blocks or bolsters it can really intensify the stretch of the triceps, chest and abdomen. Letting your head and chest sink lower into the mat on each breath out helps to open tight hips, stretch the ankles and knee joints in return increasing mobility. There might be a lot more going on than you think in those so called “simple poses”.

Restorative Yoga every Wednesday at 6:30pm.

Hey Y’all! I have a bit of bittersweet news to share. July 31st will be the last day that I offer Private Yoga Lessons. I will not be taking on any new Private Lessons, or add ons if you were a previous PL client through the month of July. If you are currently on my schedule now nothing will change and we can finish out the month of July. This has been a tough decision to make for sure (that is an understatement). I have had some Private Lesson Clients that have been with me since the beginning and opening of the Studio. I hardly have the words right now to tell those folks how much they mean to me. I know now that y’all know me well enough to know that I don’t pass up many great opportunities that come my way and there is no way that I can pass up the opportunity to better my Family, Career, and Future. This opportunity came up sooner than expected of course. I am so excited for this new journey, but of course I am sad to no longer offer Private Lessons at this time.

I do not have a plan at this time to say when or if I would be available for weekends. I am unsure of when the online Yoga video series will be completed.

Y’all have always been so patient and understanding with me as we have had to navigate through many changes in the past. I appreciate you all so much for not only business, but for our many friendships, connections, and community that we have created on the mat over the years here at the Studio.

The only change to our Class Schedule will be the removal of the Wednesday 11:15am Class in August.

My hope is that our Evening Classes continue to grow as they are now and that our classes, schedule, and our teachers can continue to expand to offer more. Understand that growth as a small business owner is always a working progress. It can be tough, real, messy, chaotic. It may not always happen in the exact way that you expected. Growth is a lot to navigate through with many changes whether those changes are slow or rapid. Remember that it is not only about the destination, but about the journey. Sometimes what might feel like the end is often only the beginning.

See you on the mat. 🧘🏼‍♀️💕

Namaste,
Erin
