We recently had the opportunity to meet with several members of Kentucky’s congressional delegation to advocate for the needs of our residents. We’re especially grateful to Congressman Brett Guthrie whose leadership continues to make a real impact on our industry throughout the country.

As Chair of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, (KY) Congressman Guthrie has been a powerful advocate for healthcare policy—most recently through his work on the Building America’s Health Care Workforce Act, which advances solutions to the staffing crisis facing nursing homes across the country. His bipartisan efforts to expand the CNA pipeline by supporting on-the-job training are exactly the kind of forward-thinking leadership our seniors and caregivers need.

We also appreciated the time and engagement of Senator Mitch McConnell Congressman James Comer Senator Rand Paul Congressman Andy Barr and Congressman Morgan McGarvey, each of whom took time to hear directly from providers on the front lines. Their support helps strengthen the essential care systems that serve Kentucky families every day.

We left these meetings encouraged—and more committed than ever—to ensuring that every resident in our care receives the dignity, compassion, and professionalism they deserve.
