We have another new face in the Danville office! Meet Eszti.

Eszti a trauma-informed therapist passionate about walking alongside children, adolescents, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether you're facing parenting struggles, attachment disruptions, neurodivergence, cross-cultural transitions, or medical trauma, Eszti is here to offer a safe, supportive, and culturally sensitive space for healing and growth.

Eszti specializes in working with issues related to adoption, foster care, third culture kids (TCKs), complex health diagnoses, and the unique emotional and relational dynamics that arise from living between cultures. As someone who grew up in Hungary and now lives in Central Kentucky—with a few stops in between— Eszti understands firsthand the beauty and the complexity of crossing cultures, languages, and worldviews.

Before becoming a clinician, Eszti served for over a decade as a global cross-cultural worker (missionary), where she had the privilege of working with refugees, orphans, at-risk youth, domestic violence survivors, and families navigating complex medical needs. These experiences inspired her to pursue clinical training so she could better support individuals and families through evidence-based therapeutic care.

Eszti primarily draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Attachment Theory, and she tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Eszti is currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist, which allows her to support children through developmentally attuned, expressive, and relational methods.

Eszti believes that every person—no matter their age—deserves to be seen, heard, and treated with dignity. Children in particular have such a profound and beautiful way of understanding the world, and she considers it an honor to join them in their journey. Eszti also believes lasting change happens when caregivers are empowered, so she works closely with parents and guardians to build collaborative strategies for long-term healing.

Eszti offers counseling services in both English and Hungarian, and she is committed to creating an inclusive space for people of all backgrounds and beliefs. While her Christian faith deeply shapes who she is and how she care for others, she believes that integrating spirituality into therapy should always be client-led.

Outside of her work, Eszti loves spending time with her husband and four amazing children—and training their enthusiastic labradoodle puppy to become a therapy dog!

Holding space for someone’s story is a sacred honor. Eszti is here to meet you or your child right where you are and to walk with you toward healing, wholeness, and hope.

If you would like to make an appointment with Eszti for your child, give us call at 859-365-0184 (option 2 for Danville).

He's baaaccckkkk...

Ethan received his Master's in Counseling from the University of Kentucky. He interned at Mended this past Spring, gaining valuable experience and honing his skills, but now joins us as a licensed therapist. Ethan is driven by the belief that everyone deserves support and understanding as they navigate life's challenges.

Ethan’s approach to helping clients heal draws from several evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered Therapy. He believes these approaches offer a well-rounded foundation for addressing a variety of concerns and empowering clients to make positive changes. He finds great satisfaction in connecting with people and supporting them through the issues they want to address.

What Ethan appreciates most about this work, and what he also values most about working within a trauma-informed environment, is the holistic nature of the care we provide. This means considering each person and their experiences in their entirety, recognizing the interconnectedness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors within the context of their lives.

Outside of his studies and work, Ethan enjoys attending community events with friends, indulging his inner film and music geek, and spending time with his many fur children.

Give us a call to get scheduled with Ethan!

We have a new intern joining us next week at the Lexington office! Welcome, Ellie :)

Ellie is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Kentucky. She is passionate about holding space for others—creating an environment where clients feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported as they navigate life’s challenges. Her focus areas include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, women’s issues, children, life transitions, and relationship concerns.

Ellie’s approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in authenticity and empathy. She prioritizes building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships and uses evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness, while also considering each client’s unique emotional, cultural, and physical needs.

Ellie believes healing happens when people feel empowered and seen. Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they develop healthier coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and take steps toward meaningful change—at their own pace.

Outside of counseling, Ellie enjoys reading, shopping, watercoloring, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is a big believer in finding joy in the small moments of everyday life.

If you are interested in meeting with Ellie or have a kiddo that would benefit from therapy, give us a call at 859-365-0184 or message us: https://www.mendedcounseling.net/contact-lex
