We wanted to pass along the following message from Dr. Marc Hudson, who faithfully served Rockbridge County for 25 years. He recently sent this letter to Blue Ridge Eye Associates patients.
Dr. Lindsay Petrie, who previously interned for Dr. Hudson and fell in love with the Lexington area during her time here, is thrilled to take over the practice and looks forward to serving you with same wonderful care for decades to come!

Dear Patients:
You have probably heard by now that I am selling my optometry practice at the end of July 2019. I am very pleased to announce that Lindsay Petrie, O.D., will be the new office owner effective that date. Dr. Petrie interned at my office 11 years ago, and she has gained terrific knowledge, experience and expertise since that time. Fondly remembering her time here, Dr. Petrie was considering a move to Lexington just as I was preparing to sell my practice and retire. Dr. Petrie and her husband, Dann Stupp, have moved to the area and are very excited to start this new phase of their life.
I have enjoyed serving the eye-care needs of the people of Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge County for the past 25 years. Please know that I have done my best as your family optometrist. The level of trust that has been afforded me has been humbling. My life has been enriched beyond measure by the friendships developed with you, my patients. I thank you all.
You have trusted me to care for you for 25 years. Please trust that my successor in the practice, Dr. Petrie, will be every bit as dedicated to caring for you as I have been. Your records will be transferred to her, and I encourage you to continue your care with Dr. Petrie.
