My name is Hannah Surratt. I am a believer, Southern wife, mommy to a precious baby boy and a baby girl with a little something extra, furmommy to two golden retrievers, and a licensed massage and bodywork therapist (LMBT). I have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an Associate's Degree in Therapeutic Massage from Davidson County Community College.
After working on a post-operative orthopedic unit for 3 years, I decided I wanted to work in a preventative area of medicine. In 2013, I enrolled in a therapeutic massage program and have not looked back. Massage therapy has given me that opportunity to provide not only relaxing pain management to those with orthopedic pain issues, but also sports, prenatal, and other massage modalities that help my clients have a better quality of life.
My daughter was born in August of 2019. When she was a few hours old, we found out that our daughter has Down Syndrome. After recovering from the shock of her diagnosis, I dug in my heels and have sought out ways to help my daughter as a massage therapist. While seeking ways to help her, I have developed a passion to help other families with kids with special needs through massage therapy.
My goal as a massage therapist is to provide a customized and unique experience for my clients that treats not only their concerns, but also their body as a entire unit---physically, mentally, and emotionally.
