Jan 23 update -
Charleston and Summerville will operate on a delayed opening for in-office appointments. We will be contacting affected clients to reschedule.
Televisit sessions will still be conducted as scheduled.

Due to inclement weather, all SouthernMED Counseling offices will be closed Wednesday, Jan 22. Our office will be in contact to reschedule clients over the next few days. We appreciate the opportunity to care for our clients when it is safe to travel on our wintery roads and apologize for the inconvenience. Stay safe!

Starting this week you may notice our text messages and emails are formatted a little differently. Don't worry! We've just gotten a refresh!

We are excited to announce the implementation of a new checkin experience that is sure to enhance our families' experiences with our registration and intake processes! Some things you can expect with this new platform:

- This new process will allow patients and families to complete their previsit questionnaires and screeners as far as a week in advance for some visits!

- Families can complete demographic and insurance updates on their own time.

- No more kiosks - all paperwork will be completed ahead of time

All counseling offices are open today except Aiken (we will inform you when their status changes). We understand that many are still dealing with the effects of Hurricane Helene, and we understand if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please reach out with any questions or concerns!

SouthernMED Families, as much of SC is impacted by Hurricane Helene we have made the decision to close our Counseling office for Friday, September 27. Clients will be contacted by our office on Monday morning for rescheduling. Please be safe!

Our Summerville and Charleston offices will be closed to clients on Tuesday, August 6.

We are continuing to closely monitor Hurricane Debby and the forecasted impact on the state. As such we have made the decision to close our low-country offices for the safety of our clients and our counselors.

Our team will be reaching out to clients who are affected by the closures for rescheduling options, including moving sessions to telehealth as needed. We will continue to monitor the weather as it develops and make any updates here on our page. Please stay safe!
