I tell people all the time that I’m not a heavy pressure therapist, and this is why: I don’t need to be in order to get results and be effective. Think of your fascia as a sheet of fabric. When one end gets twisted and bunched, the entire sheet gets moved with it.

Being a myofascial based therapist has helped me improve peoples quality of life to help them with range of motion, figuring out complex problems, and tapping into their emotional state tied with their tension.

Education is important to me, and sharing it with my clients why I’m working the way that I am to help them the best way that I can is apart of my practice.

Burnout is so common in this career because we use our body’s to heal, which also takes a lot of mental and emotional endurance. Truth be told, many massage therapists are not treated fairly when they work for large companies. More than half of their wages get taken, they get very little/short breaks in between clients, and they face the consequences of their job if they decide they need to take time off for themselves, and on top of it all, it breaks down our physical health and well-being over time just to make ends meet.
These were all of my experiences when I worked for companies, and not for myself. Being my own boss can be challenging, but the rewards outweigh it all

Book yourself a nap! I have the option available at my studio. Book an extra 15 minutes after a session, or reserve a time just to take a rest in a peaceful and cozy room. What other massage places do you know of that does that?? 😏

I appreciate your patience if you’ve been a regular of mine, or have been wanting to schedule with me while I’m taking time off. No definitive date is set for my return, but I plan on coming back at the beginning of august. You can schedule ahead online, or reach out to me for a session.
