Happy le***an visibility week! This proud q***r business owner would not have had the guts to make this post even last year out of fear of upsetting potential (or current) clients, but now, more than ever, being out and proud is so important. No matter what others say, if you are in the q***r community, we see you, we support you, we welcome you, we are happy you are alive, and we love you. And if this upsets you, you are welcome to unfollow and/or take your business elsewhere, but you are not welcome to make any hateful comments as we will not respond. Spread love, y’all ❤️

The world isn’t always accessible, and that’s not okay in our eyes. We have tried 3 different ramps before finding one that fits our needs. This has taken time and money (but worth every penny!)

A simple ramp can open the door to independence. Previously, members of our community were being held back by a barrier that’s easy to fix but life-changing to remove.

We FINALLY have a ramp that works for us.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us offset the costs that brought us one step closer to making our space truly inclusive. Join us in turning access into opportunity.

Okay, so Heather Marsh-Prelesnik is not only a talented vocalist, vocal instructor, choir director, and homeschool mom/homeschool class director, BUTTT she is so handy! Handy Heather hung a tv in our lobby! Some of our families have 3-4 siblings taking back-to-back lessons. A little tv along with our complimentary snacks, drinks, and wifi, should help everyone feel right at home in our waiting room!

The music therapy field is relatively small. To have a casual meet up with so many of us in Lexington working across multiple settings was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Nora, owner of Wildwood Music Therapy, for organizing this. My cup is filled, which means I can begin this week able to fill others’ cups.
