Robert Marion Schultz
November 15, 1935 – December 9, 2025

Robert Marion Schultz, lovingly known as Ppa and Schultzie, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Lexington, South Carolina, at the age of 90.
Born in Middlesboro, Kentucky, Marion lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love for his family. He was a paratrooper in the United States Army, and continued skydiving for many years, before building a long and hardworking career as a long-haul truck driver, taking his children on numerous fun filled trips alongside him in the “big truck” then including his grandchildren in motorhome trips when they came along.

Robert had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed traveling, music, and building just about anything with his hands. Known affectionately as “Pop’s Do All,” there truly wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. If something was broken, everyone knew exactly who to call. He also had a generous heart and quietly collected can tabs for donation to the Ronald McDonald House, always wanting to help children in need.

He was funny, playful, and always the center of attention wherever he went. Marion would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. His joy for life was contagious, and his sayings — “Toodle de do!” and “Finer than a hair on a frog” when asked how he was — will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

His legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on through the many lives he touched.

Marion is survived by his daughters, Tammy Cooper and Cindy Keisler (Anthony); grandchildren, Kari Robinson (Andrew), Lauren Foust (David), and Ben Keisler (Sammy); and four great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Schultz; daughter, Sharon Lucas; granddaughter, Megan Keisler; and sisters, Elizabeth Colson, Evelyn Grubb, Emolee Marsee, Phyllis Marsee and brother Dan Schultz.

A celebration of Marion’s life will be held Sunday, December 14, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in Lexington SC.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Columbia, South Carolina.
