Tuesday, October 21: Decorating Pumpkins!

Members began decorating their "pumpkins" (assorted squash) on Monday, and added the finishing touches on Tuesday. Everyone had so much fun with these, and we all enjoyed admiring each and every one! And for staff, it was fun just to watch our members' creativity shine with this project!

Monday, October 20: Eraser Bowling!

This fun little activity involves pencil erasers as the bowling pins, and a marble for the bowling ball! We also used a craft tray to contain everything, which made resetting the board (lane?) so much easier! It's harder than it looks, but so much fun - members had a blast!

Monday, October 13: Spooky Window Art

Members enjoyed crafting these suncatcher-style pieces, but they absolutely fell in love when they saw them displayed in the window, the autumn sunlight shining through, making them almost glow like stained glass! Pictures simply can't do this craft justice, so for the full effect, come visit the Wildcats group any morning, or the Mavericks any afternoon!

Friday, October 10: Movie Day!

Every month our members get to enjoy a more relaxed (yet still active) day full of movies and crafts. This month, they crafted these adorable ghost and monster ornaments out of salt dough, which they got to make as well!

And a special thanks to our activity assistants (Fernanda, Ziana, and Dalaney) for working together to surprise members with this sweet treat - cotton candy! Members really enjoyed the sweet, sticky fluff. Thank you ladies - well done!

Thursday, October 9: Witchy Wall Art!

Members had a lot of fun with this craft, from painting to placing! Members designed their witch's outfit, and even chose each one's pose during construction. For an added twist, we even steered away from our usual tidy display style, letting the members scatter their witches all over the building - but you'll have to come visit to see the final result!

Getting in the Spooky Spirit!

On Tuesday, members made skeleton hands with white yarn for bones on black and orange construction paper hands. Wednesday, we strung them together to make these awesome garlands! Members also made some adorable Halloween wreaths to take home, but a few members wanted to keep their artwork here to add to the decorations. We love how this display turned out!

Wednesday, October 1: Spooky Wall Art!

Spooky season has officially started, and we didn't waste any time getting into the holiday spirit! Members made these spooktacular mixed media masterpieces by painting with watercolors over crayon for some unique resist art.

And for a bonus, Logan and Sonny finished this fun puzzle between activities!
